Aimee Murphy's
2022 Book Tour

Our founder Aimee Murphy traveled from August to December 2022 to spread the Consistent Life Ethic — a human-centered system of values which transcends party differences — across the United States and beyond.
Starting with the launch of her book Rehumanize: A Vision to Secure Human Rights for All in July 2022, Murphy spoke to groups across the country with a call to consistency, authenticity, and compassion for our fellow humans by inviting our communities to engage with these heavy issues in a way that rehumanizes.
Aimee began her 90-day cross-country trek in August 2022, and traveled a total of over 13,700 miles from New Hampshire to Seattle, and Wisconsin to Austin, TX and Naples, FL. The tour included book launch events and lectures on the Consistent Life Ethic philosophy of human rights at schools, libraries, community organizations, and more.
During the months from June to December 2022, we raised about $6,500 to cover expenses related to the tour including event costs and travel expenses including gasoline, lodging, food, and internet for working on the road. Thanks to our generous donors! We will make the financials of the trip public once the tour is over and we can account for what was spent in full. Any donations in excess of what is needed for the tour will cover other publication expenses directly related to the tour such as purchasing books to give away, and Aimee's wages while traveling.
We are grateful to everyone who has reached out to us with interest in hosting an event in your city. We are now booking events in 2023 at our standard event rates. Visit our events page for more information. Thank you for partnering with us to build a world that respects human dignity.

Book Synopsis
Rehumanize: A Vision to Secure Human Rights for All
Who deserves human rights? The answer to this question is the crux of all moral and political action in society, and defines our character as individuals and as nations.
Aimee Murphy seeks to answer this vital question in this accessible and succinct handbook on the Consistent Life Ethic, a moral philosophy whose central principle is that each and every human being has inherent dignity from the womb to the tomb, and therefore deserves to live free from violence. Rehumanize: A Vision to Secure Human Rights for All includes a digestible yet systematic analysis of the ethics, history, and public policy surrounding modern issues of dehumanization, and casts a rehumanizing vision of a world beyond violence.
Beyond the confines of political parties or religious exclusion, the founder of Rehumanize International communicates an aspiration to an inclusive ideal of a consistent movement of every human standing for every human. Scholars, leaders, grassroots activists—anyone concerned for the common good—will find this resource an indispensable cornerstone for their outreach and advocacy for decades to come.
The Author
Aimee Murphy is the founder of Rehumanize International, a non-partisan, secular organization dedicated to bringing an end to all aggressive violence against human beings through education, discourse, and action. For this world-changing work, Murphy has been featured in news media outlets such as MSNBC, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, The Washington Post, VICE News, and many more. Aimee is a queer disabled Latina, an infertile Catholic revert, and a feminist pro-lifer dedicated to the Consistent Life Ethic through and through. Though born and raised in California, she currently resides in Pittsburgh with her profoundly supportive husband Kyle, their dog Domino, and—in the spirit of radical hospitality—whichever friends may wander into the Murphy household. She has a B.A. in Ethics, History, and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, and though formal schooling has proven difficult, she still loves to devour a good nonfiction book for research. In her free time, Aimee loves to garden, play board games, hike, camp, and use up craft supplies like nobody's business.
